Welcome to our web site! Dear Friends. The Oradea/Nagyvarad Children of Holocaust Survivors reunion will be held on May 16, 2019 at the Chauncey Hotel and Conference Center in Princeton, New Jersey. Princeton is a charming university town located half-way between New York City and Philadelphia. The drive from either city will take about an hour. If you prefer not to drive, there is a train from New York Penn Station to Princeton Junction Station via New Jersey Transit's Northeast Corridor Line. More information can be found at www.njtransit.com. The train ride takes about one hour and ten minutes. From Newark Airport the Monorail connects to this train at Newark International Airport Station. From Princeton Junction station to the hotel is a 15 minute taxi or Uber ride. The cost to attend is $140/person. This includes cocktails (beer and wine), hors d'oeuvres and a buffet dinner. We finished with 65 fully paid up participants. The program for the party is as follows: -5:45 - Pick up name badges: Brodsky Gallery -6:00 – Cocktail hour with odoevers, beer and wine: Brodsky Gallery -7:00 – 9:00 – Buffet Dinner: Solomon Upper Dress code: Smart casual. Music: I prepared a playlist of Hungarian gipsy, operetta, klezmer and Yiddish music to play in the background. 44 persons expressed interest to have lunch together at RAT’s Restaurant ( www.ratsrestaurant.com ) at 12:00 noon and to visit the Sculpture Gardens ( www.groundsforsculpture.org ) adjacent to the restaurant in Hamilton, NJ on Thursday the 16th. There will be two tables of 10 and two tables for 12 reserved to allow seating for all coming. The restaurant requested that each table settle their table collective bill separately. 40 persons also expresed interest in having dinner together on Wednesday the 15th at 6:30 pm at Barbara's Hungarian restaurant ( www.barbarashungarianfood.yolasite.com ) in Ewing, NJ. There will be five tables of 8 reserved for those coming. Here again each table will have to settle the table collective bill separately. Two more important notifications: 1. With many thanks to Marin Cosman Vaida and Tibi (George) Vaida the "MemoryBook" with inputs from most participants will be made available in a digital, read only format before the Reunion and in a printed version at the Reunion. You will be notified accordingly. 2. Thanks to Tibi (Ted) Weisz for volunteering to collect all the pictures taken by you and make available an Album to memorialize the Reunion activities. Tibi is asking all to take lots of pictures, select the best once and forward them or the link to them to his personal email address: tweisz2000@gmail.com If you have any questions, please contact me at llblau@leslieblau.com . The hotel has a shuttle service to the center of Princeton. The Princeton University grounds are a worthwhile visit and include a very good art museum. If time permits I would also recommend you visit Morven Museum & Gardens ( www.morven.org ) at 55 Stockton Street, Princeton, NJ 08540.
